Mechanical Fitter Large Scale Assembly, Pressure Testing

This is a great opportunity to join us at a time of expansion in a brand-new facility. We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to work in a new team. Ideally you will have experience of the following..

• Assemble and test large stainless-steel components often in the range of 1 – 20 tonnes

• Responsible for following assembly and test procedures and method statements.

Responsible for ensuring output is in accordance with required specification.

• Ensuring the maintenance and operation of all tools, fixtures, machinery, and equipment on a daily basis.

• Ensuring that appropriate care and attention to detail is given to prevent cross contamination of materials or damage to components and that component traceability is maintained throughout the assembly process.

• Experience of using overhead cranes lifting large components highly desirable.

• Ability to work and problem solve within a small, specialised team.

• Adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter.

• Ideally be time served with extensive experience fitting parts for regulated industries such as Nuclear, Oil and Gas or Aerospace.

• Preferable prior experience manufacturing equipment for high integrity projects.

• Up to date knowledge and good understanding of technical drawings.

• Preferably have had previous national SC security vetting – Note that the ability to gain national security clearance is a compulsory requirement for this position

Initially Day shifts 6am – 2pm (or 8 -4 possible if required) and eventually moving to Days and noon (2pm-9.30) shifts. We can offer a good rate of pay excellent overtime rates and practically as much or as little overtime as you want. This is a full time employed position offering long term job security within an interesting and varied business. Earnings with overtime will be in the region of £35,000 to £40,000 and open ended.
