A globally recognised market leader in the design and manufacture of check valves for the global Oil & Gas industry. Planning for future growth, the company is now diversifying its valve portfolio with 2 exciting new valve products.

With further new products to come, we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Control Valve/Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Flow Control Division and be a part of the future success that these new valves will inevitably have.

The role will be varied encompassing all aspects of the design process, from initial concept through to finished product. In return you can expect a role that presents challenge, yet is stimulating, in a forward thinking environment that allows you to thrive and develop your career.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• 3 years plus experience in 3D CAD modelling and drafting, ideally Solidworks;
• At least 3 years experience in control valve design;
• A degree (2:2 or above) in Mechanical or Fluid Dynamics engineering;
• Effective communicator and team player with a ‘can-do’ approach;
• Detail conscious with high personal standards;
• Self-motivated and driven individual who strives for success;
• Flexible, hardworking and willing to take on new challenges.

DESIRABLE:

• Experience in the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Software;
• Experience in the use of Finite Element Analysis Software (e.g. ANSYS);
• Experience in the hydrocarbon / energy Valve Industry.
