£50,000 to £60,000 Flexible Salary can be tailored to suit Experience.

Due to expansion, we now seek a time served Engineer and experienced Production Manager to join this well established and inclusive team.

Role Requirements:

Utilising your extensive knowledge and experience you will manage the activities of the Shop Floor including the management of your team to achieve Production targets.

Maintain KPI’s and drive

This is a hands-on and visible role that requires leadership, commitment and flexibility that goes beyond the humdrum nine to five.

As such, the ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that they can add value to and be happy to work beyond the norm, including most Saturday mornings, maximising their earning potential.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Time served Engineering Apprenticeship with both Machining and Fitting experience.
• Shop floor experience of managing people either as a Charge Hand, Foreman or in a Managerial role.

· Lead an effective and structured Production Meeting interfacing with all key business areas.

• At least 12 years production floor experience and 5 years Mechanical Engineering fitting experience, gained in a medium sized Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
• Effective decision maker, structured planner and communicator who can confidently manage and motivate skilled and semi-skilled operators to achieve their tasks.
• Able to read and interpret Technical drawings and Metrology equipment.
• Competent in the use of MS Office based applications, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Lives within a commutable distance of ST4 8HU e.g. circa 30 minutes or planing to relocate.
• Solutions orientated with a positive and flexible can-do attitude, who has the ability to develop and improve manufacturing processes and methods.

· Quality focussed and Performance driven to meet targets and objectives.

Nice to have:

• Electromechanical assembly experience would be advantageous.

• Organised and methodical in their approach to work with an eye for detail.
