£38,827 increasing to £41,229 Basic once trial period is complete. 4x Rolling Shifts + Overtime to c.£55k + 33 Days Holiday

The role relies on basic fabrication and welding skills and would ideally suit a Fabricator with on site fitting experience or a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter with some experience with Fabricating and welding.

This is an exciting and very varied role working with a well-established local business. Ideally you will have experience of being a Mechanical Fitter within a Manufacturing environment or heavy industry. Or perhaps from a Plant background maintaining Hydraulics or Fork Lift Trucks, a truck mechanic or even farm machinery? The work is varied, you could be maintaining equipment Fabricating, Welding, Gearboxes, Pipe work etc, anything and everything mechanical on the site.

You will be working in a small team of 7 mechanical fitters including 3 apprentices. There are 3 shifts moving to 4 Rolling Shifts on a 4 week cycle, 6am to 2pm (one shift Monday to Friday one shift Wednesday to Sunday) and one shift 1pm to 9pm Monday to Friday and a Night Shift. Typically you can earn between £40,000 and £50,000 depending on how much or little overtime you would like to do.
