Experience in view of a metals, casting or heavy engineering background would be an advantage but by no means essential. The company has a strong long term order book and is looking for the right person to join an established hardworking team.

You will ideally have gained hands on Industrial Production experience and a H&S qualification. A disciplined background as result of a shop floor apprenticeship or ex forces training would align well within our company. You will have the communication skills to motivate and manage a mixed workforce of skilled, semi-skilled and manual labourers to build on our can do team approach. You will the ability to be firm when needed and be able to gain the respect at all levels within the business through your confidence and drive to help everyone to succeed and improve across all areas.

Today our shop floor managers and their teams are financially motivated to succeed as a team and therefore your input will be in support of safely accelerating our level of activity. You will report to the MD/GM, Technical, Production and Quality Directors along with the working closely with the department managers who are at times so hands on in the production they don’t have the time to pick up on the bigger picture (and at times the smaller details) which can in turn make their lives easier. You will share financially in the success of the pre cast production departments.

In return we are offering a very competitive basic salary plus overtime and bonus. Your normal hours would be a day shift however as we run 7 days per week, 3 rolling shifts the ideal candidate will be the sort of person who will want to mix it up and come in on other shifts from time to time to ensure they are getting the full picture. You will also receive overtime rates for out of normal hours working.
