Quality Assurance Engineer
£28,000 to £33,000 Basic + 33 Days Holiday
With an Understanding of Engineering and exposure to Quality Assurance you could be looking to take on further responsibilities to include Supplier and internal liaisons, creation of documentation developing relationships with extremely high profile customers some of which will require you to undergo vetting for Security clearance.
Due to planned development, we are looking to appoint a Project Quality Engineer to complement our existing team. The role could suit a Quality Assurance Engineer from and engineering company or Armed Forces coming from QA, Project Procurement & Management or a Senior Project Engineer. An Engineering or Manufacturing related Degree, HNC or HND would be desirable but not essential.
The Role:
Working around a variety of build-to print projects including machining, fabrication, inspection and testing you will ensure that products being supplied are certified to meet the relevant National and International standards as well as customer requirements.
As such, you will be actively involved in:
·The review of standards / specifications;
·Implement and maintain relevant processes, work instruction, methods in order to achieve compliance;
·Work with cross-functional teams to generate Manufacturing Methods, Control Plans and lead process Risk Management events;
·Project specific sub-tier Quality Assurance and the creation of flow-down requirements.
·Review and Approval of Supplier documentation and material certification
·Collation of life time quality records through manufacture and release to customer;
·Maintaining relationships with high profile customers;
·Improvement Initiatives, leading and implementation
The Person:
·Self-motivated and self-reliant whilst still enjoying being part of a team;
·Determined and proactive approach;
·Use initiative to manage own work activities;
·Good interpersonal and communication skills;
·Computer literate;
·Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications;
·A background in a Quality Assurance position is required for this role,
·A history of working with in a highly regulated industry would be an advantage. i.e Nuclear, Defence, Automotive, Aerospace, Space, Medical etc
·Will be required to undergo vetting for Security Clearance.
