Trainee Pump Fitter

£30,000 to £40,000 including typical overtime and flexible dependent upon skills and experience

Working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday with flexibility for the right candidate if required

This could ideally suit an ambitious enthusiastic engineer with workshop experience either through an apprenticeship (with at least 2 years wok-shop experience already under your belt) or perhaps you have learnt the job hands on in the work shop, now looking for a career with some International Travel to help train our customers own fitters on our products. If you feel confident to be customer facing you could also help with Trade shows including global travel across Europe, the USA and Brazil etc.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with experience in either electrical, mechanical or hydraulic engineering. It is a very secure and varied role working in the pump industry based out of the ST4 area of Stoke-on-Trent with some travel in the UK and abroad with Competitive Salary and overtime.

This is a large engineering company with a real commitment to training and development of its people.  Applications are therefore invited from interested people who may not have all of the necessary skills.  Full training can be given.  Enthusiasm, flexibility and a willingness to learn are more important than specific pump engineering skills.

Future career in the company can include engineering roles or sales roles and opportunities to work abroad can also be available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workshop activity building and repairing pumps.
  • Testing of pumps.
  • Technical and sales support to customers, group companies and distributors, which could involve international travel.
  • Packing and despatch of pumps and parts to customers.
  • Prototype building and new product development.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
