Hermitage £20,000 to £23,000 Flexible Basic Salary

Working within the Work Flow department (a small dedicated team of three) your responsibilities will be to manage the jobs for a Nationwide team of Mobile Technicians. On a daily basis you will need to be able to handle and prioritise a busy inbox, deal with incoming enquiries from customers and and once settled in to the job match jobs with the skillset of the technicians and requirements of the jobs.

You will need to be confident working on the phone, experience of handling a busy Inbox, competent with excel and basic IT skills gained in an office environment. As important and perhaps harder to quantify you will need to have a good level of common sense in order to make rational quick decisions on what would be the best plan of action. A good feel for the geography of the UK will help, you don’t really need to have an in-depth geographical knowledge of the UK as this will build once in the job, however in the longer term you will need to develop your knowledge to have a grasp on geographical areas in order to quickly assign jobs to Engineers in the correct areas.So again a good level of common sense/an intelligent thinker, a good memory and the ability to rationalise and prioritise your work load will all make the job so much easier and more enjoyable.

This is a varied and very responsible role within a company which I have worked with since 1992, they have grown from just the two founders to a team of well over 100 people yet have kept a very friendly almost family based feel despite now being one of the major players within their field. Based from head office (a modern barn conversion within a beautiful rural location) just outside Hermitage therefore your own transport would be an advantage but there is the potential for lifts with a number of staff traveling in from Thatcham and Newbury areas. The company have a genuine track record of promoting from within with all the Directors, Managers and Supervisors having worked their way up we have never recruited senior roles from outside the business.
